Why do Intended Parents pick an agency before they pick a surrogate? Your agency is important. But your surrogate is everything. She's the person who will carry your child, show up to every appointment, send you ultrasound photos at 2am, and hand you the most precious gift you've ever received. Why does she come last?
Why we built this
We were the Intended Parents this platform is for.
When we started looking for a surrogate, we did what everyone does: we called agencies. The waitlists at the established ones were months to years long. We were told we'd be shown profiles when they became available — one at a time, from their pool, on their timeline.
A friend told us about a different model — a consultant who searched across multiple agencies rather than representing just one. We could see profiles from different agencies, in different formats, at our own pace. It was harder to compare at first — every agency presented information differently — but it was the first time we felt like we were actually looking, rather than waiting to be assigned.
What surprised us was how much we learned about what we actually cared about by seeing multiple profiles. Our preferences sharpened as we went. And then there was the pressure: you're not just competing with time. You're competing with other families. A surrogate you connect with is being shown to other parents simultaneously. When you see the right profile, you have to move — and hope she feels the same way about you.
She did. We got on a call. It clicked.
Our co-founder's path was different. He connected with an agency, went through intake, and had it fall apart before the journey began — not because of anything wrong with the surrogate, but because the process had no flexibility, no real matching, no mechanism for finding the right person. Just whoever was available.
Between us, we have seen this from the inside and from the collapse. SurrogateMatch is what we wished had existed — a single platform where you can see profiles from multiple agencies in a consistent format, where the match is scored on both sides, and where you arrive at an agency's door already knowing who you want.

A surrogate journey is not a transaction. It is a relationship — profound, life-changing, and irreversible in its impact on everyone it touches. We treat the matching process accordingly: with patience, care, and the belief that the right match is worth waiting for.
Every family deserves access
Geography, language, and nationality should not determine who gets to build a family through surrogacy. We built multilingual infrastructure and international expertise specifically to serve families that traditional agencies, with their English-only intake, cannot reach.
Both sides matter equally
Your surrogate is not inventory. She has preferences, values, boundaries, and hopes for this experience. When we match, we build her criteria into the process with exactly the same weight as yours. A match where both parties genuinely chose each other is the foundation of a great journey.

We will always be honest with you about what we do, what we don't do, what things cost, and what to expect. Surrogacy is already complex and emotionally charged. You don't need obfuscation on top of it. You need a trusted guide.
